2023 Class “A” Youth Fastpitch

• · The A division will play at Sherman only, depending on the number of entrants
• · The “A” tournament for 2023 will be the weekend of July 7^th and 9^th
• · State Tournament Registration Deadline is the 23^rd of June.
• · Entry fee of $600 includes gate (10U $500)
• · 2 Pool games to seed to double elimination.
• · If possible a minimum of 8 teams per age group. (6 in 10U)
  
  Pool Play for 12U, 14U, 16U, 18U “A”
• · 7 innings with an 80 minute time limit, end the inning
• · Games scheduled every hour and 30
• · Run rule 12 after 3 innings, 10 after 4 innings, 8 after 5 innings
• · Tie breaker after 7 innings or 80 minutes
• · Courtesy runners for pitcher & catcher, if all subs have entered the game, will be the last batter
• · Teams may choose to use open sub and bat everyone
• · Seeding from Pool Play to Bracket: Head to Head, Runs Allowed, and Coin Flip
  
  Pool play for 10U “A”
• · 6 innings with a 70-minute time limit. Pool play is played on Friday, nature permitting
• · Pool play Friday only if at all possible
• · Games scheduled every hour and 30.
• · Run rule 12 after 3 innings, 10 after 4 innings, 8 after 5 innings
• · Tie-breaker rule after 6 innings or 70 minutes
• · Courtesy runners for pitcher &d catcher, if all subs have entered the game, will be the last batter
• · Teams may choose to use open sub and bat everyone
• · Seeding from Pool Play to Bracket: Head to Head, Runs Allowed, and Coin Flip

Double Elimination for 12U, 14U, 16U, 18U “A”

• · 7 inning games with an 80-minute time limit
• · Time limits may increase up to 90 minutes depending # of teams and diamond availability
• · Semi’s, 3^rd, Championship, and if game 7 innings with 100 minutes time limits
• · Run rule 12 after 3 innings, 10 after 4 innings, 8 after 5 innings for all games
• · Tie breaker after 7 innings or set time limit minutes
• · Courtesy runners for pitcher & catcher, if all subs have entered the game, will be the last batter.

Double Elimination for 10U “A”

• · 6 innings or 75 minute games. 10U double elimination starts on Saturday, nature permitting
• · Semi’s, 3^rd, Championship, and if game 7 innings with 90 minutes time limits
• · Run rule 12 after 3 innings, 10 after 4 innings, 8 after 5 innings for all games
• · Tie breaker after set # of innings or set time limit minutes
